My dreams of becoming a writer began when I was a journalist in one of the biggest media publications in Malaysia. After that, I got my first full-time job at a leadership development company. This was where I learnt a myriad of things — SEO, video production, business development, the art of storytelling and more.
In fact, I got the opportunity to meet with people from different backgrounds, positions and industries. This humbling experience taught me how to conduct interviews and how to take each individual’s story and turn it into something that people could relate to. I also developed relationship-building skills as I got to work with clients on employer branding content.
After 2.5 years of doing that, I decided to expand my skillset. I ventured into marketing and found it incredibly interesting. I thoroughly enjoy tapping into my creativity and developing content that could lead to sales. What’s also exciting about marketing is the data that I get to analyse — what works and what doesn’t — and to identify new ways of growing a business.
Radio Interview
This was an interview on Business FM, one of the leading business radio stations in Malaysia. My topic was on the impact of Industry 4.0 and how one can remain employable.
